I ran a tax & accounting practice for 10 years which grew increasingly more. But I was starting to experience a number of different perplexing symptoms. From my hair falling out, cramping & unease in my leg muscles, generally tiredness & never feeling fully rested, to a terrible time sleeping, I was growing concerned with my increasing number of symptoms. I always had lots of gut distress & was often nauseous.

I really got concerned when I got boils behind my ears, sharp gut pain, & started to experience complete intolerance of histamine foods. I finally got sick with Guttate Psoriasis in July of 2024, which was just the final indicator my autoimmune system was really struggling. But the standard Aleopathic blood test said I was fine. I was not satisfied.

Through my work with a Functional Nutrition doctor over the past 3 years, I found out I had food intolerance to gluten & cane sugar. Additionally, I had an abundance of bad microbes, a parasite, and had gone through menopause unexpectedly. Finally, I had ecoli bacteria in my water & mold mycotoxins in my blood. Not to mention, I was dealing with extreme pain in my right hip, and needing a full hip replacement. Taking a lot of over the counter pain killers is not good for any length of time. Physically, I was a mess.

No one should have to go through these kind of symptoms alone. Getting well can feel isolating. So I decided to sell my accounting practice & focus on my health. Through all the research, I decided to become a Functional Nutrition Counselor & create a Wellness Center where others could also focus on their autoimmune health together. All services offered at Healer are focused on autoimmune health. In order to get well you must take a multi-faceted approach to obtain wellness!

I started experiencing migraines at the age of four. I had intense joint pain starting at seven. My immune system was so compromised that I got bronchitis twice a year and ended up missing 40 days of school per year through high school. And every time I took a medication to resolve these issues, I felt worse.

At ten years old I started refusing medication and began experimenting with alternatives to the western medical standard…experimenting with diet, mindset and eventually things like acupuncture and chiropractic.  All of these have helped a little bit, but I’ve always been looking for more.

I have grown to love plants and plant medicine.  I also love numbers and analyzing and finding solutions without guesswork. Through the years I’ve studied nutrition, neurology, energy and intuition, herbal medicine, foundational health, and labwork. Putting all these  passions together, I found Functional Medicine. Now I aim to
help those with chronic illness get well using functional medicine.
