About the event
New England-based harper and composer Ell R. Freebern has been playing the lever harp since the age of 12. Freebern has garnered acclaim for performances, noted for authenticity and consistency. Serving as the Principal Harpist for the Vermont Youth Orchestra, Concertmaster for the Green Mountain Youth Symphony, and has composed for the Vermont Symphony Orchestra. An avid supporter of all forms of music, Freebern has also toured Cape Breton, Quebec, New England, and will tour Sweden this April with the Young Tradition Vermont Touring Group. Currently, Freebern's focus is on Scottish harp, integrating contemporary arrangements with traditional music.
Known for the ability to craft nuanced and exciting sets for performances, Freebern recently recorded an original composition & debuted solo harp EP titled, “Savior Moon”. The album explores the versatility and drama of the Scottish harp, celebrating precise technique while staying true to playful traditional roots. Savior Moon will be available…
