Explanation of menu

This menu aligns well with the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet during its strict elimination phase, as it avoids grains, dairy, eggs, soy, nightshades (like tomatoes, peppers, white potatoes, eggplant), and inflammatory spices (no chili, paprika, etc. appear to be present).

  • Appetizer (cabbage salad): Cabbage is a non-nightshade cruciferous vegetable that's fully AIP-compliant and nutrient-dense.

  • Main dish (grass-fed steak with loaded baked sweet potato & crispy Brussels sprouts): Grass-fed beef is encouraged on AIP for its high nutrient profile (including iron and B vitamins). Sweet potatoes are AIP-approved starchy tubers (not nightshades), and Brussels sprouts are allowed cruciferous veggies that support detoxification and anti-inflammatory benefits.

  • Dessert (mocha latte protein pudding): This is the potential variable. Standard AIP strictly eliminates seeds, which includes cocoa (from cacao seeds) and often coffee/caffeine…
